The Red Raider Ice Hockey program is open to all children living in the North Rockland Central School District in Rockland County, New York. We have teams ranging from ages 6 –18, and provide expert beginning instruction for new players.
Varsity
The Varsity team is coached by Gary Dworkowitz (8th Year) and is assisted by Chris Grange (7th year). The team consists of 23 players, grades 9-12.

Junior Varsity
The Junior Varsity is coached by Mike Cotier (1st year) and is open to all high school players’ grades 9-12. There is a small fee to play on this team.

Modified
This new team in 1997-98 is the first sponsored by the school district other than the Varsity. It is a result of the tremendous growth in our program in the last eight years. The team is coached by Chris Grange and is open to all students’ grades 7-9 in the NRCSD.

Bantams
The bantam team plays out of the house league at Sport-O-Rama ice rink in Monsey, New York. The team is coached by Chris Grange (1st year), and is open to all students’ grades 7-9. There is a small fee to participate on this team.

Pee Wee’s
The peewee team also plays out of the Sport-O-Rama house league and is open to all students in the NRCSD grades 5-7. The PW team is coached by Matt Schuster (2nd year). There is a small fee to participate on this team.

Future Stars
Future Stars, in its 4th season, is a beginner program open to all ages. It consists of practice ice where new players learn the game of ice hockey. It is run in cooperation, not competition by North Rockland, East Ramapo, Pearl River, and Nyack ice hockey coaches. It has grown every year since it’s inception. There is a very small fee to join this program. The program begins around November and commences in March.

Spring League ‘98’
Red Raider Ice Hockey will provide a spring league team for ALL levels in 1998. We anticipate: mites, ages 5-7; squirts, ages 8-9; peewee’s, ages 10-11; bantams, ages 12-14; along with Junior Varsity and Varsity teams. On March 14, 1998, we will have a sign up and free clinic at Sport-O-Rama ice rink in Monsey, New York at 11:30am . All ability levels are welcome. Please bring a deposit of $100 to secure your place for the season.
