The Task

Describe crisply and clearly what the end result of the learners' activities will be. Remember you are addressing the student on this page. The task could be a:

• Luft Entertainment in cooperation with the North Rockland Amusement Park is seeking a new design for the fastest, tallest, steepest, and most exciting roller coaster ever built.
• The Coaster design must meet all the above criteria without sacrificing the safety of the riders.
• The roller coaster must be designed using steel.
• All entries will be presented to the Presidents of Luft Entertainment and The North Rockland Amusement Park for consideration.
• The most creative and thought out design will be selected.
• Entries must first be submitted in written form including ride specifications. (Height, Slope, Max-Velocity, and G-Force). 
• Once written entries have been approved a model must be developed along with a presentation for the Presidents.
